The building houses various facilities for graduate school education and research. On the first two floors are laboratories, seminar rooms, graduate student rooms (for Master’s course use), and information processing seminar rooms; on the third floor are faculty laboratories (5 rooms), a lecture hall (1 room: 200 seats), and graduate student rooms (for Doctor’s course use).
Interdisciplinary Research Center for Lifelong Sport and Physical Activity
The Interdisciplinary Research Center for Lifelong Sport and Physical Activity is located on the second floor of the Graduate School of Physical Education building. Labs, etc. have been setup to provide practical guidance on engaging in sports throughout life and to engage in interdisciplinary education and research working widely with local communities. Mainly, work is done to educate and support leaders who will, in turn, help with exercise and sports programs suited to each stage of people’s lives, and research in fields, conducting practical studies related to investigating the local social effects of exercise and sports programs, is also promoted.
